4 Styles to Create from your Wash and Go this Summer

Summertime is flying by and if you can only think about how much fun in the sun you’re already having, we’re right there with you. Since we totally understand what summer means to you, it’s only right that we equip you with some looks that will make you and your wash and go the center of attention at any function.

Here are four styles that will take your beloved style to the next level.

Perhaps one of the cutest styles to wear whether with a wash and go, twist out, or rod set, a fro-hawk is simple to do and is a killer look for the summertime. All you need to do is use your regular product combination for your wash and go — be sure to include our Curl Boss — Coconut Curling Gelée for luscious curls — slick the sides of your hair with the Tame My Edges Smoothing Gel, and grab some bobby pins to achieve this style.

Bobby pin art

If you’re looking for a simple yet cute style to rock with your wash and go, try adding some bobby pins (or other accessories) to the desired area of your hair. If you’re refreshing your wash and go to accomplish this style, you can use the Curl La La — Defining Curl Custard to whip them back into shape. Need a tutorial? Check out this video from our #CurlFriend Danielle.

Buns and bangs

Whether you like low buns, high buns, or space buns, this look on naturalists will never go out of style. Take it a step further and add some slicked down, curly, or twisted bangs to your look. For maximum hydration use our Butter Crème — Intensive Moisture Sealant and for a tutorial on a version of this style check out this video from one of our #CurlFriends.

Twists and curls

Need another simple yet lovable style to rock with your wash and go? Try a twist and curl combo. All you need to do is section off the area of your hair that you want your twists to be in, use some of our Don’t Shrink — Elongating Curling Gel to help set your twists and elongate your curls, and fluff your wash and go to your liking. If you’re more of a visual person, this tutorial from #CurlFriend Alyssa Marie will help.
